MACBA Rules OK

On a last day trip out, we delved head first once again into an art overload. Ambling through the seedy and super charismatic and charming Raval neighborhood, we stopped by this modern art museum, akin to PS 1 for those NYers reading. We happened to catch one of the best shows either of us had seen in eons, entitled "A Theatre without A Stage," that encompassed theatrical art, mostly photography, sculptural and video from the 20's until the present, heavy on the 60's and 70's. Many favorites AND unknowns in the mix, with a few of the beloved even (see Vito A, Jeff W speaking about Dan G, and Bruce N below!) What was expected to be a breeze through enveloped the entire afternoon. A wonder and genuine motherlode of inspiration for years to come...
